jesus-christ-pics-2204This month, my Simon Dewey calendar has a similar depiction to this one of Jesus Christ. Perhaps in part, that is why I’ve pondered much this week what the life of Christ means for those of us who believe the gospel story.

A humble birth – the Light of the world willing to live among us in a dark fallen world. His life-an example of obedience to a Heavenly Father. His ministry – power, healings and miracles.

His love and compassion for those seeking relief from their heartache and sorrows. His perfect love for His Father and for each of us.

His greatest act-His atoning sacrifice carried out on behalf of all mankind providing salvation to all willing to follow in His footsteps. His triumphant resurrection-a victory over death.

Eternal glory. Eternal promises.

I can never get enough of learning and understanding what all our Savior has done and is now accomplishing for this world and on our behalf.

Yes, He arose 2000+ years ago. And many testified seeing Him in His glorified body.

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have…and they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And He took it, and did eat before them.” Luke 24:39-43

He left them ascending in the clouds. He’s not out of sight or out of mind as many suppose. His Light is with us still.

For ages the promise has been long proclaimed – every eye will see Him coming in the clouds with power and great glory. Is that not an exciting thought!

One day – maybe soon – we will witness the return of our risen Lord and King! If we desire it, we will embrace Him and know with perfect knowledge our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

This video  only 7 ½ minutes long, touches deeply the heart and mind – a wonderful reminder this Easter week how much our Savior truly loves each one of us.

What does Jesus Christ mean to you?

One Response to He is Risen! Do You Believe?!

  • This Easter morning my heart brims with emotion as I think about what the Savior did for me. My tired and ill stricken body will one day run with vigor, all because of the divine love and grace of Jesus Christ. Most important though is how my gratitude overflows as I think how He has washed away my sins and through His precious gift of the Atonement and how one day I can receive the gift of eternal life. I am grateful to the Lord Jesus that He forgives a sinner like me.
